Well, the reason for the attention-paying is because of one thing and one thing only. A trip to the UK. Yep! Its up for grabs. Top 30 would apparently have the opportunity to go over to the Awesome Kingdom for an educational but shitass expensive scholarship type of trip for seven days and seven nights.
Where's the UK? You ask. If you really did ask that question, you must be a dumbass. Cmon, who doesn't know where the UK is? Its a freagin dream to go there. Not Narnia that kind of dream. Like, dude, it fucking exists. How many times do you actually have to chance to go the United Kingdom? Unless you're some richass dude.
My parents bring me overseas every few years, but to neighbouring countries in Asia. The plan was to go to Europe. Well, my plan. I don't like being stuck here in Singapore. Yeah, I know, no disasters, no massive water overflow or poison leak. But I don't want my world to just be here, ya know?
Alright, sure. I become some successful buisnessman in the future and then I'll have more than sufficient funds to go to Britain. Question is : Is Nostradamus correct? Forget it, I don't want this to turn into another "World is ending, live your life before 2012" post.
But, really though. Had I known about the trip earlier, I wouldn't have effed up my CA1 results. I figured if I do get into top 30, the Most Improved Student award would well and truly end up in my trophy cabinet. Yes, I have a trophy cabinet. Which is filled with mostly my dad's bowling prizes, my brother's high jump and track medals, and... my Bleach figurines.
Well of course, I have my own stuff. Like, uh, lots of soccer stuff. As well as one Science Buskers 2nd placing award. I like to get off topic don't I? Yeah I do. Sorry for answering the question that was rightfully meant for you to answer.
